Multiple identities

April 22, 2007, 9:33 AM
A red 1995 Chevy 2-door with no front plate was stopped by police in the Walgreen’s lot in the 6800 block of Ogden.  Driver Edward W. Brown, age 28, of Chicago, initially gave a false name. His plates were suspended for non-insurance, but registered to a Ford truck.  Police asked him to tell them the address on the license of his false identity, which he could not do.  Nevertheless, he continued to insist police were making a mistake.  The plates were registered to a “Kenyatta Smith”, the VIN of the Chevy to “Armando Alanis”.  Finally, fingerprints identified Mr. Brown correctly.  Paperwork in Brown’s pocket was a complaint from the Glen Ellyn police about attempted obstruction of justice (via use of fake ID). He was charged with driving on a revoked license among many other things.
