WWJD?

April 26, 2007, 9:29 PM
A 23-year-old woman told police her boyfriend tried to stab her and was outside in his car.  The victim, a resident of the 1900 block of Kenilworth, said her boyfriend, a 23-year-old Bellwood man, came over because they were arguing over his seeing another girl.  The infidelity accusation angered the man, who produced a 7-inch kitchen knife and poked the victim’s chest with it, telling her to believe him or he would stab her.  She got him to drop the knife, and she went back inside, shutting the door.  The boyfriend knocked; she opened the door. He grabbed her gold “Our Lady of Guadalupe” necklace, tore it from her neck and fled.  The man has been violent with her in the past.  She was issued a domestic violence packet.
LATER: The man returned briefly, seeking to fight the victim’s brother, but fled once more.  The victim signed complaints against the man for aggravated assault and domestic battery.  He is described as 5’5”, medium build, with a goatee and a pierced lower lip. He has a tattoo of Jesus on his right arm and another tattoo on his left.  He works as a landscaper.  His car is a light blue Cadillac, possibly a 1996, which may have a “Sacred Heart” image in the rear window.
