Graffiti underfoot, underwheel

November 3, 2008, 11:06 PM
Apparently feeling the need for a larger canvas than the usual doors, electrical boxes and white panel trucks, vandals drew a large bunny head and gang initials directly on the street at the intersection of Wenonah and 18th.  More of the same was found at 16th and Wenonah; in the south-side alley near 16th and Wenonah; and in front of an address in the 1600 block of Wenonah, right on the pavement.
11:10 PM
More of the above was located in the intersection of 23rd and Home, as well as on the street in the 2200 block of Home.
All of it promoted a street gang responsible for most of this year’s local graffiti.
