Minivan vs Saturn accident, wrong-way driving, revoked license

A Saturn 4-door and a Chrysler minivan were involved in an accident at Cermak and East.  Driver Janet Ponce, 18, of the 2500 block of Ridgeland, was issued tickets for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving unlicensed and driving uninsured.

An officer saw a Honda Civic exit an alley before traveling northbound on Gunderson, which is one-way southbound.  The car was stopped at 32nd and Ridgeland.  Driver Matthew D. Chapman, 21, of Genoa City, WI, had a revoked license.  He was cited for driving on a revoked license and driving the wrong way on a one-way.  The car was impounded because of the license revocation.
11:19 PM
After accident victims followed the offending car, a blue Mitubishi Eclipse wanted in connection with a hit and run accident was stopped at 19th and East.  Driver Carlos Ortega was arrested and charged with failure to yield during a left turn, leaving the scene, driving uninsured and driving on a revoked license.  Police impounded the car.
