Berwyn Police Blotter

Wrong guy driving and volume too loud

September 15, 2007, 8:55 PM
An officer in the 2100 block of Scoville stopped a blue Volkswagen Jetta because its loud stereo could be heard 150 feet away.  The driver, Fernando Arias, 23, of Cicero, told police he had no license, producing instead a Mexican ID card.  He was cited for driving unlicensed and for the noise violation.  The owner of the car, a 21-year-old woman from the 2100 block of Scoville, told the officer she had given Arias permission to drive even though she knew he had no license to do so.  She was issued a ticket for allowing an unauthorized person to drive.
