Berwyn Police Blotter

Woman says kidnappers dumped her

June 25, 2008, 2:56 AM
Police met a woman caller at 16th and Elmwood; the 20-year-old woman said she was dumped there after being kidnapped in Chicago by two men in a green van.  The alleged victim told police she was walking to a store near the 100 block of north Pine in Chicago, on her way to purchase some baby formula, when two men pulled her into a green van.  She said the men tried to pull her clothes off and rape her, but she fought them off.  The woman said the offenders pushed her back out of the van at 16th and Gunderson with her shirt half off and her pants below her knees.  Berwyn police noted the woman did not appear upset, and looked neat, clean and uninjured; they contacted police in Chicago’s 15th district, since the reported crime occurred there.
