Berwyn Police Blotter

Woman poured out of bar, onto sidewalk

June 10, 2007, 11:12 pm
A caller reported a woman lying on the ground at 26th and Cuyler.  Police found her unresponsive, with a swollen right eye and bleeding face.  Suddenly, she woke up in a combative mood and resisted paramedics as they tried to help her onto a stretcher.  The 47-year-old woman, a resident of the 2600 block of Lombard, was with a 28-year-old man.  The man told police they were in a nearby bar when he saw that she had reached a state of major intoxication, so he tried to take her home.  The woman’s injuries came about, he said, when she fell and hit her head on the sidewalk.
