Woman needs shelter after accusing man of sexual blackmail, threat to child
September 4, 2007, 1:18 AM
A woman at 29th and Ridgeland flagged down a police sergeant, stating her boyfriend hit her. She said the man, a 51-year-old living in the 6400 block of 28th Place, argued with her over their not having sex, then punched her in the face. She also stated he told her if she did not provide him with sex, her daughter “might not make it to school that day.” The woman told police she and the boyfriend used alcohol and cocaine earlier in the day. The man denied everything. Later, the woman was found walking on East at 31st; she said she had nowhere to go. Police took her to a shelter for the evening.
