Woman-beater flees scene of attack

May 24, 2008, 5:10 PM
A Cicero woman met with police at a house in the 1500 block of Grove and said her boyfriend had beaten her up.  The victim had an injured nose and blood on her face and clothing. She signed a complaint against the 34-year-old offender, a resident of the block, who reportedly fled out the rear of the house before police arrived. When police ran his name, they discovered he has an extensive history of violence, including a conviction and jail time for domestic battery in 2004.
