Woman accuses counselor of sexual assault
July 19, 2008, 8:09 PM
A Romeoville woman told police a man from the 2500 block of East sexually assaulted her. The woman said he was recommended to her as a counselor and she had met with him at his home for five sessions to discuss her personal problems. But on July 5, the woman said, the counselor’s wife was not there and the man made several odd statements, such as he was afraid of what might happen if he were alone in a bedroom with the patient. When the woman tried to leave, she said the man grabbed her, forced open her pants and reached into them. The man presented himself to the patient as a “psychiatrist”; the investigation continues.
