Berwyn Police Blotter

Woman accused of taking out displeasure on neighbor’s SUV

January 29, 2008, 11:07 PM
Police came to the 1800 block of Oak Park Avenue to speak to a man who reported seeing a woman throwing something at his parked SUV’s windshield. The windshield was cracked; it appeared a brick was used to do the damage.  A second man added he knew the woman’s name and said she lived a couple of doors down from the two men’s apartment building.  The second man said the woman has been throwing bottles at their building for the past few weeks.  Just then, the 48-year-old woman appeared and the victim positively identified her.  During the course of the ensuing discussion, it became apparent that the woman was 1) angry with the second man for something or other and 2) had most likely mistaken the victim’s SUV for his, as they were alike in color and style.  The victim signed a complaint against the woman.
