November 21, 2007, 1:49 PM
A man called police to say he was battered by another man in the 6400 block of Cermak. Police met the victim in front of Family Liquors, 6428 Cermak; he told them the man responsible for his bloody nose was still inside the bar. Police met with the alleged offender, who said the victim had gotten “in his face” by repeatedly telling the offender he hated him. After hearing this kind of talk, he punched the 31-year-old victim in the face. Police charged 35-year-old Mario D. Guerrero, of the 5200 block of south Mason, Chicago, with one count of battery.
