Dispatchers told police a woman had been thrown from a vehicle. When they got to the 1600 block of Wesley, officers found a 28-year-old woman crying in front of a residence. She had cuts on the right side of her face, arm and knee, as well as scrapes on her back. The woman said she and her boyfriend were driving home from a wedding in a silver Infiniti SUV when they began to argue. She stated the boyfriend, age 32, punched her in the face several times as they drove near Ridgeland and the Eisenhower expressway. The woman said she jumped from the moving car, and was not pushed. As police spoke with the victim, the boyfriend appeared on the scene, just in time to be arrested for domestic battery.
