May 3, 2008, 3:33 PM
A worker at Walgreen’s in Cermak Plaza told police that five minutes earlier a man was seen putting candy inside his coat, then walking out without paying. Witnesses saw him flee in the scene with two other males in a green Chevy. Later in the day, police returned to the store, where the complainant pointed out a man believed to be involved in the earlier theft. Brian D. Hallman, 20, of the 10000 block of south Yates, Chicago, was charged with retail theft.
