Vandalism to garages, car

An officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Highland after someone called to report fresh graffiti. The caller said after the graffiti was applied, a light-colored minivan with only one tail light fled the alley and drove westbound on 16th. Two garages were marred with slogans and symbol of two gangs; the paint was still wet on one of them.

In the 1400 block of Maple, a Chevy Caprice was found with a smashed windshield and front passenger window. The damage appeared to have been accomplished with a baseball bat.
