Vagrant suspected in burglary attempt

Police responded to an attempted burglary in the 1900 block of Grove. Someone broke the glass on the back door of an apartment, though no entry was made. The victim told police the offender may be a vagrant—a man who has been seen using another, vacant, apartment in the building. That apartment was broken into in the same way. The suspect was described as a male black, 40 years old, 5’9” and medium build, with shoulder-length black hair worn in braids, usually seen waring a dirty white Kangol cap. According to the police report, the building is run by Reliable Management.
