Unlicensed drivers stopped

A Ford SUV was stopped at Cermak and Wesley for seat belt violation. Driver Victor Trujillo, 34, of the 2700 block of south Ridgeway, Chicago, was cited for no belt, no insurance and no license.

An officer at Grove and Roosevelt saw a white Volkswagen Beetle with temporary plates speeding 45 MPH in a 30 MPH zone while traveling westbound. It was also illicitly passing other vehicles on the right, using the parking lane. Driver Salvador Sanchez, 19, of Cicero, was cited for those violations as well as for driving unlicensed; the Bug was towed.
