Berwyn Police Blotter

Teens toke up in someone else’s ‘hood

March 23, 2008, 3:01 PM
An officer was sent to the 3100 block of Harvey to check out a suspicious brown Nissan Pathfinder.  The Nissan was parked, and two females could be seen inside.  The driver --an 18-year-old woman from the 1800 block of Kenilworth—could be seen placing a dark-colored cigarette into the ashtray, then spraying the interior of the vehicle with a small aerosol can.  When asked to roll down the window, she would only roll it down a couple of inches, but it was enough to flood the officer’s nostrils with a strong odor of marijuana.  The driver claimed to be waiting for a friend on the block, but did not know which house.  She and her passenger—a 17-year-old girl from the 6500 block of 34th—were told to exit the Nissan.  Police recovered the cannabis cigarette, as well as more marijuana for a total of 8.2 grams.  The investigation continues.
