An officer patrolling near 26th and Ridgeland saw three men in the parking lot of the Marathon Gas Station, next to Mr. Sub. The officer reported the men “positioned themselves in a dark, secluded section” of the parking lot. Because of numerous armed robberies in the area, the officer stopped the men and asked whether they were in possession of anything illegal. Two of the men were sent on their way; they were a 24-year-old from Cicero and a 20-year-old Stickney resident. The third man—17-year-old Jose Angel Cabrera of Cicero—produced a Swisher Sweets cigar stuffed with two grams of marijuana. He received a $100 ticket for pot possession.
