Berwyn Police Blotter

Suspicious-person stop seemed promising at first

January 26, 2008, 3:21 AM
Police noticed a man walking down the street dressed entirely in black, with a black bandanna over his mouth. The man identified himself; a computer check of his name revealed he is a member of a notorious Chicago street gang.  A patdown showed him to be carrying a screwdriver in each pocket, a pair of knit gloves, and a pair of plastic gloves.  The man told police he was fixing up his boss’s house in the 1800 block of Harvey, and living there while doing so.  He said he was on his way home from 16th and Lombard.  He was sent on his way.
