Suspicious animal deaths lead to trap seizure, charges

After reports a man was trapping animals illegally and leaving them all day in a trap without food or water, police came to the house and found an animal inside a trap on the porch.  A neighbor stated it had been there for around nine hours.  Police released the animal and seized the trap.  Witnesses told police dead animals have been found placed in the street and near neighbor’s homes.  Police issued tickets for cruelty to animals and offensive keeping of animals to Donald J. Tyrner, 72, of 7054 29th St.  Court date is August 14 at 3 PM in the Community Room, 6401 31st.
