Speed, hit-and-run and DUI

A Dodge Caravan was puled over in the 6400 block of 26th for doing 41 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. Driver Diana Leticia Ramirez-Solis, 27, of the 6900 block of 26th, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license.

Police sent to check on a hit-and-run at Ogden and Oak Park were alerted by dispatchers that the offending vehicle—a silver Chevy Cavalier—had fled the scene. An officer noticed a silver Chevy Cavalier, with heavy front-end damage, southbound on Grove just south of Ogden. Driver William Arocho, 52, of Cicero, failed several field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of .321—more than quadruple the legal limit of .08. He was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, leaving the scene, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
