Berwyn Police Blotter

Settlement reached in driving dispute

June 30, 2008
Police in the 6500 block of Stanley encountered two men arguing over a driving incident.  One man, a 43-year-old Berwyn resident, told police he shoved the other man away in self defense.  The other man, the victim said, punched him in the face, leaving a mark and breaking his glasses.  Police arrested the offender, a 38-year-old man from the 2200 block of south Avers, Chicago.  Ultimately, the offender offered $100 in compensation to the victim.  The victim chose not to sign a complaint.
