Berwyn Police Blotter

Round up your sales crew until you get a permit

May 3, 2008, 12:03 PM
Callers complained of a woman in a pink top selling magazines door to door in the 3400 block of Wenonah.  Police located the woman in the 7000 block of 35th.  Told she needed a permit for such sales, the woman said she did not know that.  The 19-year-old woman identified herself to police as Latoya Patterson of Redding California.  She said her purse, containing her ID, had been stolen, so her identity was established via fingerprints.  Police spoke to her supervisor, who said he has two women working in Berwyn.  He was told about the permit requirement, and to come pick up both women.  Patterson was cited for soliciting without a permit.
