Berwyn Police Blotter

October 31, 2007, 1:02 PM
The manager of a store in the 7000 block of Cermak told police he opened the store and found the rear door had been pushed in, leaving glass on the ground. When police checked, they realized a vehicle must have backed into it; a nearby garage door was similarly pushed inward.

A man in the 6900 block of Stanley reported he came home and found both his door lock and deadbolt fastened, which was suspicious, since he had not engaged the deadbolt himself when he left the flat. The offender appeared to have removed a fan and crawled inside through a window. Stolen items included miscellaneous change, an electric screwdriver, a cell phone and a leather jacket.
