Pot possession revealed after alert neighbors call cops

October 14, 2007, 4:28 PM
Callers reported suspected drug activity in the 2600 block of Clarence, telling police two suspicious males left the house in question and were on foot, headed east on 27th.  At 28th and Ridgeland, officers found two men matching witness descriptions.  When police approached, one of the men threw to the ground a packet of marijuana wrapped in newspaper.  Both denied owning the packet, and both were arrested.  Police issued $100 pot-possession tickets to 17-year-old Israel C. Carrera and 23-year-old Anthony R. Aragon, both of the 2600 block of Harvey.
