Berwyn Police Blotter
Polite motorist beaten, robbed
April 20, 2008, 12:15 AM
A man with many cuts, bruises, and a black eye told police he was driving home from his job in the western suburbs when he saw four strangers fighting on the street in the 2100 block of Euclid, south of Vacin. The victim was unable to drive through to reach his home because of the fight, so he pulled over to wait it out. When he pulled over, another strange man emerged from a parked Lincoln Town Car, approached him and asked what he was doing. The victim said, “I live over here.” The stranger pulled the victim out of his own vehicle, beat him and robbed him of his wallet. The victim’s father found him later, lying on the ground, and took him to MacNeal Hospital for treatment. He remained in the hospital until 4 PM, when he reported the crime to police.
