PM noise violation roundup

April 29, 2007, noon to midnight
An 18-year-old was driving a gold 2002 Acura that could be heard 100 feet away near 22nd and Clarence; he was ticketed and it was towed. In the 6700 block of Cermak, heard 200 feet away, was a 2004 GMC Yukon.  It was impounded, and 25-year-old Nickolas D. Gonzales of Cicero fined $500.  An officer at 16th and Cuyler heard “loud, thumping bass” well beyond 75 feet away from a 2008 white Cadillac CTS, which was impounded.  The fine went to driver Rofael Ortega, 20, of Cicero.  Another Cicero man, 19-year-old Valentin Garcia, had his 2001 Buick LeSabre impounded when an officer at 22nd and Scoville could hear loud music 150 feet away from the car; he also got a ticket for driving without a license.  And a man cranking the tunes at 22nd and Ridgeland got his car impounded.  The 40-year-old lives in the 1400 block of Wesley and was fined; the noise could be heard 200 feet away.
