Berwyn Police Blotter

Plates expired, red light ignored

September 16, 2007, 10:18 AM
An officer stopped a silver Lincoln Town Car at Oak Park and Ogden for having expired registration.  Upon closer inspection, the officer noticed the expiration date had been altered with a black marker.  The driver, who stated he had no license or insurance, identified himself as Jose K. Sanchez, 39, of Phoenix, Arizona.  A computer check revealed no license on file for Sanchez.  He was cited for expired registration, improper use of registration, no license or insurance, and failure to transfer title.

A tan GMC Yukon drove through a red light on Cermak and was pulled over by police.  The driver, a 22-year-old man from the 2100 block of Ridgeland, was cited for the blown stop as well as driving unlicensed. A check of his name revealed he was already wanted by Berwyn police.
