Patio furniture dispute ends in battery

A 39-year-old man in the 7100 block of 36th St. told police he had taken out the trash and was walking back up the exterior stairs of his apartment when he was confronted by a fellow tenant. The other man accused the victim of damaging his patio furniture, sparking an argument. The victim said the offender then struck him in the genitals and punched him in the head. Police took five photos of the victim’s injuries. According to the report, the offender was 100 pounds heavier and eight inches taller than the victim. Police arrested Michael R. Gonzalez, 42, of 7121 1/2 36th, and charged him with battery.
