Berwyn Police Blotter

Paraphernalia palmed

May 9, 2008, 6:30 PM
An officer recognized two men and a woman, who were standing in the street in the 1800 block of Gunderson, and asked what was up.  The woman, a block resident, said they were just talking to one of the men because he was leaving.  The officer noticed the other man—44-year-old Jim A. Bralis of Plainfield—was “cupping” his left hand.  When asked about it, Bralis showed the item in his hand:  a glass pipe with copper screening of the type commonly used to smoke crack cocaine.  Bralis was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
