Berwyn Police Blotter

Or, you could just answer the door

October 16, 2007, 5:50 AM
A man from the 1600 block of Scoville told police a guy stood on his front porch for half an hour at 5:30 AM, continuously ringing the doorbell.  He said the stranger also pounded loudly on the door and windows, and rang him on his home phone.  Finally, he said, the stranger removed mail from his mailbox and threw it onto the front steps.  The complainant said he suspects the man is a process server from a Chicago law firm.
