Oily morning revenge

A couple in the 2300 block of Ridgeland reported the vandalism of their back yard pool. Police could see it was covered with some sort of kitchen grease. The couple believed this to be the work of the 48-year-old man’s ex-girlfriend. Since the breakup, said her 47-year-old replacement, the ex has made harassing telephone calls, stalks them, and is seen driving around their property. The suspected ex lives in Chicago, they said, in the 6400 block of south Sacramento. The man told police he noticed someone wandering around the pool at 2:30 AM, then saw his ex-girlfriend run out of his back yard and into the alley to flee in her brown Chevy Blazer. The couple said they feared for their safety.
