Berwyn Police Blotter

No license? Drive my loud car anyway

October 4, 2008, 7:02 PM
An officer stopped an older Nissan at East and 16th because of its very large, loud muffler.  The driver, Ramiro Hernandez, 25, of 1643 Ridgeland, told police he did not have his license on him.  In fact, it had been suspended, so the car was impounded.  The owner of the car, 24-year-old David Hernandez of the same address, told police he knew his brother had lost his driving privileges, but nevertheless allowed him to drive.  David Hernandez was charged with permitting an unauthorized person to drive.  Ramiro Hernandez was charged with driving a car with a loud muffler and tinted front windows.
