New Berwyn ordinance in play: $500 impound for driving suspended, revoked or open-booze-toting

A detective who was stopped at 31st and East noticed a Mercury Sable elect not to obey the stop sign there. Driver Jaime Moreno, 32, of the 2800 block of north Cicero, Chicago, got tickets for the blown stop and for driving on a suspended license. The Sable was impounded in accordance with the new local ordinance (it’s not just for noise any more).
