Mystery car blamed for parkway position

May 3, 2008, 3:10 AM
Police in the 6400 block of Ogden noticed a white Olds sedan up on the parkway, off the street.  The vehicle was unoccupied, but a man stood beside it in possession of the ignition key.  Gabino Roman, 29, of the 2100 block of south Troy, Chicago, told police someone had chased him and forced him off the road, but was unable to describe either the vehicle or its occupants.  Roman was charged with driving despite a suspended license and without insurance.  His car was impounded.
