Motorcyclist injured, ticketed

Police arriving at the scene of an accident in the 1400 block of Harlem found a black motorcycle lying on its side; also in the intersection was a silver Mitsubishi sedan. The motorcyclist was conscious but incoherent; he was taken to the hospital. Two witnesses and the Mitsubishi driver told police the motorcycle turned left in front of her, rendering her unable to avoid a head-on collision. Motorcyclist Gabriel Martin, 30, of the 1400 block of Clinton, was charged with failure to yield when turning left, no insurance, and violation of his license classification.
