September 6, 2007, 8:15 PM
Police met with two brothers outside a residence in the 1900 block of Harvey. One, age 17, was bleeding profusely from his nose. The 22-year-old brother said their 48-year-old mom’s boyfriend had been drinking all day, told their mom he hated both the sons, then punched the teen in the face. The 24-year-old boyfriend was arrested. When police searched the prisoner, they found a black leather band studded with metal spikes; the victim identified it as the item used to hit him in the face. Puncture mark’s on the victim’s nose and cheek were consistent with the spikes. Charges were pending further investigation at the time of the report.
