September 13, 2008, 11:20 PM
Calls reported screams and a hit-and-run crash in the 1800 block of Oak Park.  Police arrived to find two unoccupied cars up on the curb on the west side of the street.  The owners of the vehicles said a white car hit theirs, then fled north on Oak Park and east on 18th.

Meanwhile, in the alley behind the west side of the 1800 block of Wesley, an officer was speaking to a weeping 21-year-old Lombard woman.  The woman had a swollen red check/ She said she and her fiance, a 21-year-old Lombard man, left Lalo together, with him driving her white Hyundai.  She said he was intoxicated and began punching her in the face and head as he drove.  He struck a couple of cars and pulled over; the victim ran and found people in a yard to call police.

The Hyundai was found in the 1800 block of Wesley with front right side damage and a front right flat tire.

Police located the violent fiance at 16th and Oak Park, where he was seen yelling at someone on his cell phone.  He was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and domestic battery.
