Man injured with crowbar refuses to sign complaint against gangbanger culprits

August 23, 2007, 8:14 PM
Balois Antunez*, 24, of the 2400 block of north Tripp, Chicago, told police he was jumped near Arby’s at Harlem and 32nd by several members of a street gang.  Police located Antunez walking south on Harlem with his shirt off.  He was using the shirt to cover his head, which had a large cut on top.  Antunez was barely able to stand and was taken to MacNeal Hospital for treatment.  The attackers hit him over the head repeatedly with a crowbar, he said, but Antunez refused to cooperate further with police, and refused to sign a complaint form against anyone.
