Berwyn Police Blotter

Loud-music neighbor accused of knife threat

October 26, 2007, 4:35 PM
A man in the 2100 block of Oak Park told police he went to the door of a neighbor in his apartment building to ask the 36-year-old man to turn down his loud music.  He stated the man slammed the door in his face and said it was “his property” and he would do what he liked.  The victim said he then tried to reason with the neighbor, who suddenly reopened the door while brandishing a large kitchen knife.  He said the neighbor pointed the knife at him and stated: “If you don’t leave, I will make you leave!” The accused neighbor was charged with one count of aggravated assault.
