Loud car contains recent Tecate spill
April 30, 2007, 3:08 PM
An officer monitoring traffic near Pershing School, 3701 Scoville, at dismissal time heard loud, amplified bass coming from a black SUV. The driver, a 25-year-old man from the 3700 block of Clarence, had the noise ordinance explained to him. During the inventory search of the impounded vehicle, a strong odor of beer was evident near the driver’s seat. Police observed a foaming liquid on the driver’s floor mat, and an empty but still cold can of Tecate beer in the pocket beside the seat. The driver was cited for the noise ordinance violation and for driving in possession of open alcohol.
