Loitering stop leads to drug, paraphernalia citations

April 20, 2008, 3:05 AM
Police stopped two men who were loitering in front of a closed business at Maple and Ogden.  One man was sent on his way.  The other was seen by an officer throwing a green object from his coat down onto the ground.  Police checked the grass and located a green-color bag, which contained a multicolor glass smoking pipe.  Police searched Cory W. Westhead, of the 3400 block of Oak Park, and recovered a small amount of marijuana from his pocket.  Westhead was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
