Berwyn Police Blotter

License, cash, credit cards disappear with stolen wallet

May 17, 2007, 6:38 PM
A 31-year-old Berwyn man reported he parked his red Monte Carlo with the driver’s window open and entered a currency exchange in the 6900 block of Cermak.  He left his wallet lying on the passenger seat, and when he returned it was gone. Another currency exchange customer described a man he thought grabbed the wallet.  Tellers told the victim a man answering the description was a fellow customer; records show he lives in the 2100 block of Grove.
The stolen wallet contained $100 cash, an Illinois driver’s license and three credit cards.
