K-9 sniffs out paraphernalia

A concerned citizen called to report a disturbance involving a man and a woman in the alley behind the 6900 block of Cermak. At the scene, police, with the help of K-9 Officer Ares, conducted an open-air search of a Dodge Ram pickup belonging to a 45-year-old Lyons man. The dog alerted positively to two areas of the vehicle. Police recovered two glass crack-smoking pipes with charred ends and a whitish-brown residue. Terrence L. Salvino was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
