Berwyn Police Blotter

Junking on a suspended license

October 3, 2008, 10:41 AM
An officer saw a man behind a garage in the 1400 block of Gunderson/Scoville.  The man placed a large item in the truckbed and drove away, but was stopped in the next block.  Driver Jhovany Olvera had a suspended license because of several previous arrests for driving unlicensed. The items in the bed of the Chevy pickup appeared to have been scavenged from neighboring garbage. Olvera was charged with driving unlicensed and uninsured, and with illegal scavenging.
