Berwyn Police Blotter

Jewelry taken, torn picture left behind

September 5, 2007, 2:22 PM
A couple in an apartment in the 7100 block of Windsor reported their place was entered by a burglar while they were out from morning to early afternoon.  The returned to find their door standing open and a kitchen window forced open.  Police retrieved fingerprints and shoe prints at the scene.  Stolen items included $125 cash; a gold and diamond ring, and a 22-inch gold chain with a medallion of Jesus and Mary.  The offender also ripped a photo in half and left the pieces there.
