Inclusive employee finds time to juggle work, two women
February 22, 2008, 11:05 AM
A waitress at Inclusive nightclub, 6319 Roosevelt, called police about a disturbance in front of the business. She said a Woodridge mother and daughter entered Inclusive and confronted the waitress. The daughter was one of the caller’s coworkers. Mom asked the waitress why she was having a problem with the daughter. The waitress—or victim, as we will now know her—knew the confrontation was actually about the fact the 23-year-old victim and the 40-year-old mom were dating the same man, a Chicago resident also employed at Inclusive. The victim said the mom grew irate and pushed her, hard. The victim said she asked manager Vernon D. Weaver to call police, but he did not. The mom then tried to strike the victim with a cutting board from the kitchen. The victim, her co-worker and the co-worker’s mom were all escorted outside, and the victim went to her car to call police. She said mother and daughter and two other women attacked the car by kicking it, then fled in a black car. Weaver denied any physical conflict occurred inside Inclusive, just outside.
