Berwyn Police Blotter
If I had a hammer, I’d hammer in the bathroom
December 8, 2007, 5:15 PM
Banging and screaming brought police to an apartment in the 1900 block of Lombard. They spoke with the tenant of the apartment in question, who denied there was a disturbance. However, when police took a look inside the place, they found the bathroom in great disarray. There were several large holes in the drywall outside the bathroom. Inside, the toilet was broken into several pieces; the showerhead was broken off, causing water to pour uncontrollably out of the wall. Almost ever single tile in the shower had been smashed with a hammer. A hammer lay on the vanity. The building owner was informed, and 28-year-old Jose Sanchez was charged with criminal damage to property.

A pregnant woman called police after another woman reportedly screamed at her, threatened her and attempted to back a car into her. The victim said the woman was angry because the victim called police about a disturbance involving the alleged offender’s boyfriend. Victoria Gonzalez was charged with one count of aggravated assault.
