Berwyn Police Blotter

Hydrant-blocking Altima held booze, minors

July 3, 2008, 11:23 PM
In the 2500 block of Harvey, a black Nissan Altima was parked blocking a fire hydrant.  It was occupied by two females and a male, though nobody was in the driver’s seat.  Just then, a man emerged from a gangway and told police the car was his.  In the car, police could see two open bottles of vodka and two wine glasses on the floor.  Tickets for possession of open alcohol were issued to passengers Juliana Y. Renteria, 20, of the 6500 block of 26th, and 20-year-old Marissa L. Rivera, of the 2700 block of Harvey.  Because of the open alcohol and minors, the Altima was impounded.
